9 sa04 Polyphemus Moth (Antheraea polyphemus) Cocoons frequent throughout summer. Adults 28 July 92, 24 June to 30 July 95. Larva on 8 Sept 85, etc.
9 sa09 Luna Moth (Actias luna) L L Uncommon. Dates: 10 May 94, 16 May 95, 24 May 01 (SW), 4 Oct 91 (DR).
10 sa05 Ailanthus Silkmoth (Samia cynthia) L 18-Jul 28-Jul L Now rare in N.Y.C. JBWR Records: 18 July 01, 28 July 92; also noted by JI in previous years. Larvae: 3 in mid Aug 95.
10 sa08 Io Moth (Automeris io) C 10-Jun 9-Jul L Most sightings are of males. Max 6 on 28 June 01.
10 sa07 Promethea Moth (Callosamia promethea) "Cocoons found in May and July" (JI).
10 sa06 Cecropia Moth (Hyalophora cecropia) L "Cocoons found commonly in May and June" (JI). Adult dates: 7 July 92 etc.
