Peregrine Falcon
Falco peregrinus


Generally uncommon, migrating mostly along the outer beaches and offshore. Good numbers converge at Cape May, New Jersey and in the Florida Keys, mainly late September through mid October. Few are seen during the spring. Most migrants are of the Arctic race tundrius. Pacific coast race pealei and reintroduced "anatum" populations are sedentary. A few dispersing young may pass hawk watches.
