As many of our HMANA family members are aware – we are currently in the midst of our “Counting for Raptor Conservation” fundraising campaign. HMANA was offered an outstanding opportunity from an anonymous donor, a 3-year annual donation of $15,000 per year as long as annual matching funds are raised!
Currently we have reached the first year’s match amount triggering the first installment of the 3-year donation, thanks to the contributions and pledges of over 100 members, donors and board members!!! WELL DONE!
However, to be successful in achieving our goal of hiring a full-time director, we will need to raise at least TWICE the initial goal each year, so our sights are set on reaching $30,000 by the end of May 2014!
HMANA’s Board of Directors is committed to the goal of hiring a full-time executive director who will manage our critical programs – HawkCount and RPI – and coordinate the search for grants while expanding and professionalizing the many efforts that will continue to be primarily volunteer-driven.
HMANA is a truly unique and important organization, with a monitoring network of over 250 sites throughout North and Central America that compile critical data on raptor migration and raptor population status. A perfect way to commemorate the 40th anniversary of HMANA is for you to help us by donating to this effort!
Please consider donating generously today to keep us moving towards our goal!
